WP4: Refining identification and assessment

We will co-design psycho-educational materials to support the identification of anxiety problems, using familiar constructs and acceptable language informed by qualitative interviews with parents and clinicians/ school counsellors in each setting, iteratively developed with our parent advisory groups (working within and between settings). In terms of assessment, key outcome measures will include the Revised Child Anxiety and Depression Scale (a Wellcome common measure) which is integrated within the OSI platform, and has been translated and validated for all target languages except Filipino (we will complete that translation work). Following international guidelines (Wild et al., 2005) and working closely with our lived experience advisors, we will also conduct cross-cultural adaptation of the Child Anxiety Impact Scale - parent report and other brief measures within OSI (e.g. Goal Based Outcomes). Psychometric properties of the translated scales will be explored using data from WP5 and 6, including factorial invariance across countries.
