Assistant Professor (Special) and Head of the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Department
Biosketch: Sirirat Ularntinon, MD. Sirirat Ularntinon, MD, is an Assistant Professor (Special) and the Head of the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Department at Queen Sirikit National Institute of Child Health (QSNICH), Thailand. She holds board certifications in Pediatrics and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. Dr. Ularntinon's advanced training includes a Certificate in Pediatric Psychosomatic Medicine from Stanford University Medical Center, USA. She also completed a Certificate in Cognitive Behavior Therapy & Supervision Training, which provides Advanced Training and Supervision for Supervisors, from the Beck Institute, USA. Furthermore, she holds a Certificate in Mindfulness & Psychotherapy from the Institute for Mediation and Psychotherapy, USA.
Her primary clinical role is as a Pediatrician and Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist at QSNICH since 2006. In addition to her administrative duties, she is deeply involved in residency training for both Pediatrics and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the institute. She also serves as an Adjunct Faculty for the CBT Diploma Course at Department of Psychiatry, Chulalongkorn University.
Her research interests focus on the mental health consequences of trauma and medical trauma, as well as the assessment and treatment of anxiety disorders in youth. She has contributed to the development of several Thai assessment tools, including the SCARED, the Revised Children’s Anxiety and Depression Scale (RCADS), the CRAFFT self-administered version, and the BNSSI-AT.
Her work focuses on implementing evidence-based psychological interventions and developing clinically useful assessment tools for children and adolescents in Thailand.
