
Dr. Natsu Sasaki, MD, PhD
Occupational Health Physician and Researcher
Natsu Sasaki, MD, PhD, is an occupational health physician and researcher specializing in workplace mental health, digital interventions, and implementation science. She serves as a faculty member in the Department of Mental Health at the Graduate School of Medicine, The University of Tokyo. Her research focuses on developing and implementing scalable psychological interventions—such as internet-based cognitive behavioral therapy and mindfulness programs—for diverse workforces, including healthcare workers and employees in small and medium-sized enterprises. She has led multi-country collaborative projects across Asia, contributed to randomized controlled trials and longitudinal cohort studies, and published widely in international peer-reviewed journals. Her broader public health interests include loneliness, women’s health, and the long-term mental health effects of workplace policies. Dr. Sasaki previously served as a visiting scholar at the Washington University in St. Louis Center for Dissemination & Implementation, and now plays a central role in strengthening Japan’s capacity for implementation science through training, collaboration, and framework adaptation.
