Dr. Elizabeth Miller, MD, PhD, FSAHM

Professor of Pediatrics, Public Health, and Clinical Translational Science

Dr. Liz Miller is Distinguished Professor of Pediatrics, Public Health, and Clinical Translational Science at University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, physician in Adolescent and Young Adult Medicine, and Director of Community Health at UPMC Children’s Hospital Pittsburgh. She has over 25 years of practice and research experience in clinical and community settings addressing interpersonal violence prevention and adolescent health promotion in clinical and community settings. Her expertise includes community-partnered research and inclusion of community members as citizen scientists in research. She also serves as a Collaborative Scientist for the National Center for Child Health and Development in Tokyo, Japan, and will be joining the Center in April 2026 as a Research Scientist.
